YOUNG PEOPLE ARE MORE SKEPTICAL ABOUT GETTING HEALTH INSURANCE

Life comes at us fast. And most times, we are too unprepared for it. Part of living life is navigating the risk of the unknown. But there is a particular concern for young adults who might not have health insurance and are most likely not to purchase one. Studies show that adults between 19-29 are the least likely to have health insurance. What does this mean? Well, because they record-high financial stress at this period of their lives, it means many things. This also inversely mirrors the fact that they are most vulnerable to injuries and the catastrophic expenses that come with it. But then skepticism plays a significant role.

Young adults convince themselves that they are at the healthiest point of their lives within this age period. So, they tend to bypass getting insured for their health. The following response to this initial line of thought is to delay preventive care and wait out treatment until it becomes inevitable. This only yields terrible outcomes. They do not suffer this consequence alone since the larger population depends on their integrity and strength. You can do a great job by speaking to an uninsured young adult to meet an agent to get a health insurance plan.
